Ding dong, the drought is over! With a 38-0 defeat of the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday at Empower Field at Mile High, the Denver Broncos are returning to the playoffs for the first time since they won Super Bowl 50 to cap the 2015 season.

Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset after that game. Von Miller was traded a couple years later. Gary Kubiak left. John Elway left. New owners bought the team. And we endured a few really, really bad head coaches on the way to securing the services of Sean Payton two years ago.

Fast forward a couple seasons and we've got a new quarterback who has shown us more potential than anyone we've had there since Peyton, in addition to a solid core of really young players rounding out the roster.

And now the team has its first double digit win total in a long, long time, officially securing the #7 seed in the AFC playoffs, set to begin next weekend.

The team will travel to New York to play the #2 seed, the Buffalo Bills, on Sunday at 11 AM Mountain Time. The game will be broadcast on CBS.

The Chargers will play Houston, and Pittsburgh will play Baltimore on Saturday, with all of the NFC games happening after the Broncos play the Bills Sunday in the early time slot. The full schedule for the NFL's Wild Card Weekend looks like this.

Jersey Numbers the Denver Broncos No Longer Use

These jersey numbers hold special reverence to the team and thus aren't allowed to be worn any longer. When longtime fans see these numbers they say, "He was the best!" "The GOAT!" "They couldn't have done it, without him!"
