The Masked Singer, which is an incredibly popular show on Denver's FOX 31 never ceases to amaze and surprise us with just who they're able to convince to join their cast. This season was no different as nobody saw this iconic Denver Broncos player ever doing something like this.

Legendary Colorado Celebrity Joins Masked Singer

If you've never seen The Masked Singer over its twelve seasons on FOX 31, it's a reality singing competition that debuted in 2019. Celebrities will don not just a mask, but an entire costume to hide their identity while singing a song.

The panel of celebrity judges, which currently includes Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy (Wahlberg), Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora, then judge and give feedback on each performance, while also trying to guess who's under the mask.

There are clues dropped to try and help the judges and viewers hints about who's under the masks, but they usually have some pretty outrageous guesses. This week though, one of the judges got it right when it came to "Leaf Sheep" in the video below...

Spoiler Alert! Broncos Legend John Elway Eliminated From The Masked Singer

Yup, Ken Jeong was correct when he guessed it was the former by Denver Broncos icon and NFL Hall of Famer, John Elway. Based on the voice alone, most true Elway fans knew just who was under the mask... But his singing was "a little pitchy, dawg," and was the first to go...

He was obviously excited and happy to do the show, and I loved his answer to the question of why...

That’s a good question. I’m not sure... I was definitely not in my comfort zone doing this, but I’m in retirement now, I had the opportunity and took advantage of it. It’s great to be here. I had a great time, [and] I think all the grandkids are going to be happy to see Papi jump out of the Leaf Sheep.

While it was nice to see the Duke of Denver show off his singing skills, he certainly made the right choice by playing sports rather than singing in a band. We still love ya Johnny, Go Broncos!

9 Crazy Things John Elway Might Have Done with His $900 Million

John Elway was offered a 20% stake in the Broncos back in 1998. If he had said yes to that deal, he'd be sitting on nearly a billion dollars. Here are some crazy thing the Hall of Fame QB might have done with the windfall.

Jersey Numbers the Denver Broncos No Longer Use

These jersey numbers hold special reverence to the team and thus aren't allowed to be worn any longer. When longtime fans see these numbers they say, "He was the best!" "The GOAT!" "They couldn't have done it, without him!"
