With Halloween right around the corner, the craziness surrounding the spookiest season of the year is ramping up. From haunted houses, scary mazes, costume shopping, and more, folks all over Colorado are gearing up.

Ever since the move to its current Downtown Denver location, Fright Fest at Elitch Gardens has been a Colorado Halloween tradition. From its haunted attractions to spooky-themed activities and rides, it has something for just about everybody in your family.

This year though, the theme park has something lined up for the more adventurous and brave members of your family. Hopefully, they aren't scared of the dark...

Would You Spend 24 Hours In A Coffin At Denver's Elitch Gardens?

If you're claustrophobic or afraid of the dark, this might not be the event for you... But if neither of those things bother you, then you could be just who Elitch Gardens is looking for!

Five contestants will be chosen to live in a pine box coffin for 24 hours, but being in the coffin might not be the very worst part... They plan on making you face "creepy crawly bugs" while in the coffin and give you breaks to ride the coasters in the dark, walk through its haunted houses by yourself, and more.

The Pine Box Challenge will begin on Saturday, October 5th at 5:30 pm and end on Sunday, October 6th at 5:30 pm. If you can last 24 hours of this spooky insanity, all remaining contestants will win two Elitch Gardens 2025 Season Passes, two 2025 Premium Dining Plans and two 2024 Fright Fest X-Scream + Admission passes.

If you've got what it takes to be a part of next weekend's fun, sign up right away, and get ready for the most insane 24 hours of your life...
