Bring on craft fair and holiday festival season, some of my favorite shopping of the year.
From vintage-styled markets to old-school church craft shows, lovers of hand-crafted goods have plenty to peruse in November and December.

Things to do in Northern Colorado: Events Calendar
November 2024 Northern Colorado calendar of events
Nov. 15-17
- Vintage Market Days fill The Ranch's exhibition halls with vintage-inspired art, clothing, jewelry, home decor, food, plants and more. Hours are 10 to 4 each day. Tickets and info.
Saturday, Nov. 16
- The Fort Collins Holiday Market comes to the new downtown Fort Collins Welcome Center. Makers will have apothecary items, pottery, sweets, jewelry, candles and more for sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Fall Fest Craft Show at Cactus Grille and Wicked Tequila Room alley in downtown Loveland from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Nov. 22-24
- The Applewood Arts Festival returns to The Ranch in Loveland with its Holiday Festival. Applewood also has November events in Arvada and Centennial. The festival focuses on handmade goods.
- Christmas in Windsor Craft Show features more than 100 vendors at the Windsor Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th St. Hours are 9-5 Saturday and 10-3 Sunday.
Opening Friday, Nov. 22
The Denver Christkindlmarket runs from Nov. 22 to Dec. 23 in Denver's Civic Center Park, 101 E. 14th Ave. The market is an authentic, German-style holiday market, which is host to local and European craft and food vendors, and tons of entertainment. Hours are 11-7 Sundays-Wednesdays and 11-9 Thursdays-Satrudays. Festivals run until 10 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays.
Friday, Nov. 22
- The Loveland Festival of Lights marks the holiday season from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. The annual event celebrates the lighting of Fourth Street with live music, entertainment, a holiday market, carriage rides, Santa and more.
Saturday, Nov. 30
- Santa comes to Centerra at his special workshop location at the Loveland Visitor Center and Chamber, 5400 Stone Creek Circle. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, attendees can visit Santa and his elves, get a complimentary photo, enjoy cocoa at the Mrs. Claus Bakery and share (or write there on site) their letters to Santa. A special sensory-friendly hour will take place from 11 a.m. to noon Dec. 7 in partnership with Autism Moms of NoCo.
- City Star Handmade Market brings local artisans together with food and music for a creatives shopping experience at City Star Brewing, 321 Mountain Ave., Berthoud. Jewelers, metal fabricators, alpaca fiber artists, floral creators and more will be there.

Tuesday, Dec. 3
- Disney Jr. Live On Tour: Let's Play!, 6 p.m. at Union Colony Civic Center—tickets $47-$77. Mickey is getting ready for the biggest playdate ever at the Clubhouse with all his favorite pals – including Minnie and Goofy, the Puppy Dog Pals, Ginny and Bitsy from "SuperKitties" and Ariel from "Disney Jr.'s Ariel" – but mysterious weather keeps interrupting the fun. Can Team Spidey from "Marvel's Spidey and his Amazing Friends" find out who is behind this and help save the playdate?

Wednesday, Dec. 4
- Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis, 7 p.m. at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley, Colorado.
Saturday, Dec. 7
- Third Annual Winter Craft Fair with more than 50 Colorado artisans at the Berthoud Recreation center at 493 Eighth St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- Santa’s Village opens from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13 and 14, at Winter Wonderlights at the Loveland Chapungu Sculpture Park. Santa and his elves will be there to meet with children and get a complimentary photo.
Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15
- Holiday Open House and Boutique at The 1879 Avery House, 328 W. Mountain Ave., Fort Collins. Celebrate a Victorian Christmas at the free Holiday Open House and Boutique 1-4 p.m. Free tours, too. Shopping in the historic Carriage House, located behind Avery House at 108 N. Meldrum St.
Sunday, Dec. 15
- Ginger and Baker Holiday Market with local artists in the teaching kitchen from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant is at 359 Linden St., Fort Collins.
Tuesday, Dec. 31
- K99 New Year's Eve Bash at The Ranch, following the Extreme Rodeo Challenge. The party is open to anyone looking to ring in the New Year.
January 2025 events across Northern Colorado
Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3-4
- The AMA Arenacross Championship, the nation's top indoor motorcycle race series, comes to Blue Arena. Tickets and more info at The Ranch.
Friday and Saturday, Jan. 24 and 25
- Toughest Monster Truck Tour rides into Loveland's Blue Arena. Tickets and info.

- Jeff Dunham brings his Artificial Intelligence tour to Blue Arena in Loveland.
