The latest change to store policy will impact Target customers at all Colorado locations, impacting any customer expecting to return a purchased item.
Target Return Policy Update
Target's new return policy was recently updated online to specify, "Target reserves the right to deny returns and exchanges including but not limited to prevent fraud, suspected fraud, or abuse."
It seems like it has always been Target's policy to accept returns on most unopened items that are 'like new' if you have a receipt. Seems like this will still be the case. Customers who do not have a receipt, or have an item that has already opened, should expect a much tougher road to a refund.

One Reason for Change
Target says their new return policy will allow them to act faster to put a stop to theft and deceptive practices. The NY Post reports Target has expressed concern over customers who make a habit of abusing the return policy, bringing back used items that appear to be in good condition for refund.
No More Personal Checks
One other change to affect all Target stores is they no longer accept personal checks as a form of payment. While Target made this change back in June, it is likely to surprise some holiday shoppers who are not aware of the change.
