One of the latest establishments to close its doors for good, the 1st Bank Center in the Denver suburb of Broomfield, is by far one of the largest businesses to have made this type of headline in recent years.

1st Bank Center in Broomfield Colorado is Demolished

In case the name doesn't immediately ring a bell, the 1st Bank Center first opened in 2006 at 11450 Broomfield Lane under the name Broomfield Event Center.

The venue was built similarly to places like the Blue Arena in Loveland and as a much smaller version of Ball Arena with a total capacity of 6,500.

Over the 18 years in which the 1st Bank Center operated, countless national touring acts performed at the venue including Roger Daltrey of The Who, Rise Against, Flobots, and more. In addition, the venue was the home base for numerous sports teams including the Denver Roller Dolls, Rocky Mountain Rage, and the Colorado 14ers.

However, an announcement was released in May of 2023 notifying the public that the venue/arena was set to close its doors for good in the near future. The reasoning behind this decision was directly attributed to poor ticket sales and a decrease in revenue.

The final event that the 1st Bank Center would ever host took place in September of 2023 and in late 2024 we've begun to see footage of the massive venue's demolition.
