This past 4th of July weekend saw the return of an incredibly fun event - the Denver Fan Expo.

In case you're not familiar, this event attracts droves of attendees from Colorado and beyond and is similar in nature to the famous Comic Con gatherings.

Just like last year, the event was filled with fans of comic books, video games, movie franchises including, but certainly not limited to Star Wars and the Marvel Comic Universe, and plenty of other categories under the pop culture umbrella.

While some are drawn to these types of events for the vast number of celebrity meet and greets, others are more dedicated to dressing up in elaborate costumes; a phenomenon known as cosplay.

Colorado Cosplay at the 2024 Denver Fan Expo

As you'll see below, the costumes varied greatly from sci-fi, superhero, video game, anime, and even children's television shows.

Perhaps the most popular cosplay theme this year was various Mandalorian characters, an offshoot of Star Wars that originated with bounty hunter Boba Fett.

Other pop culture icons represented included Spawn, Super Mario, various characters from the Batman franchise, Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men, Spider-Man, Garfield, and many more.
