A 46-year-old Evans, Colo. man has been arrested for selling drugs that investigators say killed a Larimer County woman last year.

That's according to a post on the Larimer County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

According to the post, the case began in November of 2022 when a woman was found dead in an unincorporated area near Fort Collins.

Investigators found no sign of foul play, but did find what they called "user amounts' of fentanyl pills as well as some cocaine.

Further investigation found that an Evans man, Rodolfo "Rudy" Dominguez had sold the woman the drugs which led to her death. Investigators think Dominguez may have represented some of the fentanyl pills as being oxycodone, which is a far less potent and less dangerous drug compared to fentanyl.

The post says Dominguez has been arrested on the following charges:

Unlawful Distribution of Fentanyl Resulting in Death (DF1)
Unlawful Distribution Schedule I or II – Cocaine (DF3)
Unlawful Distribution Schedule I or II – Oxycodone (DF3)
At last report Dominguez was being held on $750, bond in the Larimer County Jail. The post goes on to say:
"Anyone with information about this suspect or incident may contact Investigator Tyler Thomas at (970) 498-5167. People who wish to remain anonymous can also contact Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868 or www.stopcriminals.org."
