Juvenile Arrested and Charged in Johnstown High School Threat
The Johnstown Police Department has released a statement regarding the shooting threat at Roosevelt High School earlier this week. The evening hours of Sept 23 and morning hours of Sept 24, 23 Safe2Tell tips were received to the Johnstown Police Department in relation to a threat at Roosevelt High School. The numerous tips stemmed from misinformation posted on social media about the original incident.
Johnstown Police investigated the Safe2Tell tips and interviewed the juvenile suspect, along with his parents and identified witnesses. After the interviews and investigating numerous posts on various social media outlets, the juvenile suspect was placed under arrest and charged with 18-9-109 interference with an educational institute, a class 1 misdemeanor.
