Larimer County Records 3 New COVID-19 Deaths, 40 New Cases

The Larimer County Department of Health added 3 new COVID-19 related deaths to its cumulative tally on Monday (Jan. 4), bringing the county's death toll since the start of the pandemic to 154.

Two of the newly-listed deaths were dated back to December for a total of 72 deaths that month, the deadliest of any month during the pandemic.

Health officials also added 40 new COVID-19 cases to its cumulative total, bringing Larimer County's cumulative number of cases since March to 14,949 as of Monday.

Among the 40 new cases, 22 of them - more than half - are Loveland residents.

The youngest case is a 12-year-old Windsor boy, and the oldest case is a 95-year-old Loveland woman.

As of Tuesday morning (Jan. 5), Larimer County’s overall risk rating remains high, with a two-week positivity rating of 7.2% and a 14-day prevalence of 344 cases per 100,000 residents.
