Lewstone Fire 100 Percent Contained, Evacuations Lifted
As of Tuesday, August 25, the Lewstone Fire has been completely contained, Larimer County Sheriff tweeted.
The Lewstone Fire was first reported on Saturday, August 22, and burned at least 165 acres northwest of Fort Collins near Laporte in Rist Canyon.
At 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, the sheriff said that all evacuation orders have been lifted. Crews will return to the area tomorrow for 'mop-up' operations.
Meanwhile, the nearby Cameron Peak Fire is still zero percent contained, and has burned over 20,000 acres as of Tuesday.
