Housing. It's insane how much it actually costs to have a roof over your head these days, almost everywhere. But when it comes to Colorado, especially in Larimer County where things have cooled off a little bit but a place where the average price for a single-family home is still closer to the $600K mark than not, it's not only insanity but it's practically become impossible to afford living there.

With that being said, there are some deals to be found, especially if you're willing to sacrifice some things, or in many cases like this one, several things. But hey, if you're looking to save some serious cash and just looking for a place to call home and aren't too picky, this could be a great spot for you.

I'm not counting condos, townhomes, manufactured homes, or 55+ communities, I'm just looking at detached single-family homes. According to Property Shark, this home located up in Red Feather Lakes is going for under $200K, $150K to be exact.

Is it perfect? Nope. Is it fixable? It certainly needs some work and is small. But from what I can see, and it's a bit difficult to truly get a feel for the interior because there's so much stuff in there, it has the potential to be a cozy little spot.

This property has 1 bedroom - although there's a random room that you could turn into a second bedroom if needed - 1 bathroom and about 725 square feet of living space.
