A Florida man has pleased guilty to one count of wildlife trafficking after smuggling approximately 70 monitor lizards from the Philippines, as reported by the Denver Post.

44-year-old Akbar Akram pleaded guilty earlier this year to trafficking an endangered species.

The smuggler stuffed these live lizards into socks and hid them inside of electronics.

The Water Monitor Lizards were shipped under a false label and the 'equipment' was transported through commercial carriers to his 'associate' in Massachusetts. Akram then began selling these wild lizards to people in Colorado, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Dad joke time.

Did you hear about the man who slaughtered the lizards? He was a cold-blooded killer.
