This is not the kind of Colorado beer news that necessarily makes us want to drink up.

Molson Coors announced today that they are moving their headquarters to Chicago, closing their Denver HQ. According to the Denver Post, Molson Coors employs "2,300 people in Colorado", and about 300 of those people work from Denver.

Many of the Colorado staff are employed at the Golden brewery and even after the relocation, Colorado will still be the company's largest employment base. However, it looks like some of their staff is going to have to make the move to the windy city and others may find themselves unemployed after MC cuts up to 500 jobs internationally.
