The City of Greeley is getting a new fire station.

This building is the first of the City Center municipal complex which will be a phased consolidation of downtown City administration offices into a single campus for greater efficiency and service to the public.

Groundbreaking for New Building

The groundbreaking for the construction of Fire Station No. 1 is scheduled for Thursday, September 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of 12th Street and 10th Avenue and the public is welcome to join the celebration.

This fire station will continue to serve as the administrative headquarters for the Greeley Fire Department and as a backup Emergency Operations Center in addition to the customary fire response functions.

The new Fire Station  also includes:
  • Four apparatus bays
  • Engine 1
  • Ladder 1
  • TheDive Rescue response unit
  • Firefighter Rehabilitation Unit 
  • Living quarters for 9 firefighters per shift
The budget for the Fire Station project is approximately $8.6 million.
