New Old Town Fort Collins Restaurant Sets Opening Date
The newest restaurant and bar in Old Town, Fort Collins, has set an opening date. Union Bar & Soda Fountain will open to the public on Wednesday, February 28 at the Corner of Linden and Jefferson Streets, on the spot that was once Jefferson Park.
Union is a bar, soda fountain, and restaurant. The bar features "Over the Counter" (non-alcoholic drinks) and "Prescription Only" (adult beverages). The soda fountain is for customers of all ages and features spirited and non-spirited shakes, floats, egg creams and sparkling sodas, not to mention gourmet sundaes. The food menu has a diner feel.
I spoke with Ryan Houdek, who owns Union with Ty Fulcher and Raffi Jergerian. Ryan also owns Rodizio Grill, The Melting Pot, and Social. He told me what makes Union unique in this YouTube video:
Union can seat 175 in the dining room and bar area and another 125 on the massive patio. It is open 10am-10pm Monday-Sunday. Union serves at the gateway to the River District on the north side of Old Town.
