Colorado Governor Polis held a press conference on Friday, March 13, 2020, to discuss the state's efforts to contain coronavirus and COVID-19.

According to The Coloradoan, Governor Polis has banned gatherings of 250 people or more, until further notice.

The exception will be if the organizers of the events can increase the distance between people to six feet.

At the press conference the governor made, he clearly was sorry to be giving out the news.

I know that can be devastating … and I share that disappointment, but we are in the middle of one of the greatest international public health care disasters in our lifetime.

He also announced several other actions regarding testing for COVID-19 and the treatment of the virus, including giving EMTs and paramedics the authority to administer the tests.
