Ever since the start of the school year, cases of COVID-19 have gone up on our college campuses, and health officials have been looking at why cases in Larimer County and Colorado in general have been rising, and how to stop it.

Luckily, UCHealth Colorado is giving us good news.

According to a recent press release, "more than 2,000 patients recovering from COVID-19 have now been discharged from UCHealth hospitals throughout Colorado, able to continue their recoveries either at home or in post-acute care centers."

UCHealth has discharged 2,001 patients after caring for 30% of the state's total COVID-19 patients.

At the beginning of the pandemic, the hospital reported over 260 patients with COVID-19 at their facility. Today, that number is at 65.

UCHealth is preparing for a resurgence and additional difficulties with the upcoming flu season, and encourages Coloradans to get a flu shot and schedule an appointment right here.
