Party Like an Astronaut at a Playboy Space Club
Gravity is one of the most feared enemies of human breasts — but if Playboy has its way, it won’t be for long. The iconic men’s magazine has joined forces with space tourism company Virgin Galactic to build a Playboy Club in space.
Working with several futurists and scientists, artist Thomas Tenery illustrated the potential nightspot, which will include a fine-dining restaurant, a zero-gravity dance club, and a casino featuring “human roulette” in which you’ll be the bouncing ball (erm, so to speak).
In a statement, Playboy editorial director Jimmy Jellinek said:
“As Virgin Galactic gets closer to becoming the world’s first commercial space line, Playboy is eagerly pondering the creation of the ultimate intergalactic entertainment destination. This heaven-in-the-heavens will exceed starry-eyed travelers’ wildest dreams, and guests will truly experience a party that’s out of this world.”
Virgin Galactic head designer Adam Wells added, “You could literally swing around the dark side of the moon,” but we’re guessing his idea of a full moon and ours are two totally different things. (Or maybe not.)
Until the intergalactic Playboy Club is a reality, here are some more concept drawings to tide you over:
