Fort Collins Police Services (FCPS) are investigating a serious car crash that took place on Vine Drive in Fort Collins on Tuesday (December 17) night.

According to The Coloradoan, the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection between Lemay Avenue and Timberline Road.

A 48-year-old man was driving westbound in his 1995 Subaru Legacy sedan when he crashed into a 49-year-old woman in a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, who was also heading westbound.

After the first crash, the man swerved into the eastbound lanes, hitting an 18-year-old male in a 2013 Dodge Dart.

One adult passenger in the Subaru sustained serious injuries and was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies. The three drivers involved in the crash only received minor injuries.

The accident caused Vine Drive to close for about six hours.
