Polis: Quarantine Now If Planning Thanksgiving Gatherings
At his press conference on Friday, November 13, 2020, Governor Jared Polis stated that 1 in every 63 Coloradans is contagious with COVID-19.
The Governor stated that for the safety of friends and family, if you want to gather to say 'Thanks' over some good food and drink on Thanksgiving Day, you are strongly urged to start self-quarantining now.
This would apply to gatherings of 10 and under. Gatherings of over 10 are currently prohibited, as well as gatherings with more than two households in one sitting.
Polis emphasized that not gathering with those outside of your own household, at least for the time being, is the proper thing to do when it comes to stopping the spread of the pandemic in Colorado. There are currently 1,100 people in hospitals across the state being treated for COVID-19.
