QuikTrip, a Tulsa-based convenience store, is planning to bring a little Midwestern flair to the Denver area.

According to The Denver Channel, the convenience chain is hoping to open as many as 70 stores near Colorado's capital city in the next five years.

The station reports that the stores, which are set to begin opening next year, will be around 4,800 square-feet each.

The new stores' locations are still unknown, but company heads are already searching for local contractors to start construction.

QuikTrip spokesperson Mike Thornbrugh told CSP Daily News that the chain was attracted to the Denver area because of its rapid population growth, and the fact that its convenience stores can now carry full-strength beer.

I'd say Coloradans are always down for more places to buy beer.
