Could a Second Raising Canes Be Coming to Fort Collins?
Driving northbound on College Avenue in Fort Collins between Drake Road and Prospect Road, you are bound to find a backup on the right lane due to a line at Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers at 2108 South College Avenue.
Raising Cane's chicken and their specialty, Cane's Sauce, is wildly popular among Fort Collins residents as well as other chicken fanatics in Northern Colorado.
Any time that I am making the commute going northbound on College Avenue in that area, I am always sure to be in the left lane because I do not want to get stuck in the backup of the line.
Another Raising Cane's would be great for Fort Collins. The chicken would be more widespread and it may help alleviate the traffic issues along northbound College Avenue.
According to BizWest, another Raising Cane's location in Fort Collins could be in the works via city planning documents. The proposed location would be at the northeast corner of Colorado Avenue and Willox Lane.
The second Raising Cane's location is currently known as North College Motors at 1800 North College Avenue. The proposal for the second Raising Cane's location would call for the demolition of the current building at the address. The demolition at 1800 North College Avenue would make way for a 3,026 square foot building, 30 parking spaces, and room for a drive-thru.
If the proposal is approved, Raising Cane's would progress with the demolition and construction of the location. However, if Raising Cane's is not approved for this location, North College Motors will continue operating.
