KDVR has reported that Trail Ridge Road is now closed for the season.  In the article, park superintendent Darla Sidles said “The mild weather this fall has given us a rare opportunity to enjoy Trail Ridge Road this late in the season,” adding “During this most recent storm we have received an accumulation of snow accompanied by high winds and freezing temperatures.  Driving conditions are extremely hazardous at higher elevations.”

If you didn't happen to make it up to Trail Ridge Road this year, you will have to wait until the officials try to reopen the road around Memorial Day Weekend of 2017.
