Thankfully, Rocky Mountain National Park is reopening more and more after the devastation it experienced from the East Troublesome Fire.

After experiencing nearly 30,000 acres of damage, officials from the park said they weren't sure exactly when it would reopen to visitors. However, thanks to the hard work of our firefighters, many areas of the park have been salvaged and are ready for tourists again.

According to a press release,

The East Inlet Trail and the East Shore Trail on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park have reopened.

These areas will be open on Saturday, November 14 to visitors. However, park officials want to remind you to be wary of smoke, wind, weather, and fire conditions as you enjoy RMNP.

Areas that will remain closed temporarily according to the press release are:

Bear Lake Road, Upper Beaver Meadows Road, the North Boundary Trail, the North Fork Trail, and Mummy Pass, Stormy Pass, Commanche Peak and Mirror Lake Trails.

We're glad to see that Rocky Mountain National Park will continue to welcome outdoor enthusiasts to its beautiful landscapes and hope for a full reopening here soon.
