Northern Colorado Wildlife Center rehabbers, Kate and Michela, were able to get the snake to regurgitate the pair of golf balls using special techniques. The process was carefully done so as to not injure the snake any further. The entire process took approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The golf balls caused major GI blockage in the snake. Thankfully with the help of a good samaritan and the caring staff at Nothern Colorado Wildlife Center, the snake only sustained minor soreness and scale damage. The snake is currently recovering and Northern Colorado Wildlife Center says that the snake is doing very well and has already had a small meal while being cared for.

What to do if You Find Injured Wildlife?

If you happen to find an injured animal, do not give it food, water, or medical assistance. Contact a local wildlife rehabilitator that is licensed and follow the instructions they give. Northern Colorado Wildlife Center says a good resource to find help for injured wildlife in your area is Animal Help Now at ahnow.org.
