After a tumultuous few weeks that saw both Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin bail from attending Guns N’ Roses induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the band members who showed up to accept the honors — Slash, Steven Adler, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan — did so with style.

Last week fans of Guns N’ Roses could buy the band’s ‘Greatest Hits’ album for less than a movie theater gumball. The result: a 572 percent surge in sales for the 14 song collection, good enough for the No. 3 spot on Billboard’s album sales chart for the week.

Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses seem content to tour America in bits and pieces in 2012. The rockers have just announced three dates along the west coast, after completing a run of shows on the east coast, including a memorable show at the Roseland Ballroom.

Questions about Axl Rose’s longtime inability to start concerts on time may have been answered thanks to a guy who was there at the beginning, Alan Niven. Guns N’ Roses have announced they will perform an intimate six-date club tour featuring three shows in New York City next month.

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal has released a studio version of the Henry Mancini classic ‘The Pink Panther Theme.’ The recording features members of Guns N’ Roses: Frank ‘Thunderchucker’ Ferrer on drums, Tommy Stinson on bass, Richard Fortus and DJ Ashba on rhythm guitars. This is the ninth song in a series of digital singles released by Thal in 2011.

Guns N’ Roses and iClips are giving fans of the band a chance to watch their live show for less than it cost to buy their most recent album ‘Chinese Democracy.’ Tonight’s (Dec. 21) show in Los Angeles, and next Friday’s (Dec. 30) show in Las Vegas will both be streamed live.
