Record Store Day is coming up fast, and two of classic rock's finest have been added to the list of artists who will have exclusives available for the annual event. Legacy Recordings will be offering up vinyl exclusives on Aerosmith and Jimi Hendrix for this year's celebration of independent record stores.

A new line of clothing inspired by the songs of Jimi Hendrix will soon hit the shelves of New York-based upscale retailer Bloomingdale's. The collection has been fully licensed by Experience Hendrix, LLC, the company founded by Hendrix's father to make sure that his son's image is not exploited.

The annual Thanks Jimi Festival in Poland has set a world record for the largest guitar ensemble. Over 7,000 pickers showed up to follow Jimi Hendrix‘s brother Leon and a talented group of bandleaders in playing ‘Hey Joe.’

Guitarist Ron Wood recently recalled his friendship with the late, great Jimi Hendrix. Speaking on their friendship recently on his show on Absolute Radio UK, Wood said  “Jimi was a really sweet, well-mannered boy, and I’m very honored to have shared a little space of time with him back in the late 1960s.”

A digital artist from Ithaca Audio has taken clips from Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Phil Collins and 11 other artists and mashed them into a new song called ‘Walking In Your Mind‘ featuring scenes from last year’s hit film ‘Inception’ and other visual sources.
