Teacher Tuesday: February’s Teacher of the Month Is Shirley Davis

You nominated four local teachers for going above and beyond in February, and we asked you to vote for your favorite educator to be Teacher of the Month.

Now, the results are in.

February's Teacher of the Month is...

Shirley Davis, a 9th grade teacher at Windsor Charter Academy. Ms. Davis' student Toby and his mom Laura nominated her because she "goes above and beyond for all of her students" and even hosts after-school study sessions for those who need it.

Ms. Davis told Townsquare NoCo that her favorite thing about being a teacher is seeing her students enjoying her classes and mastering the concepts, stating: "It warms my heart like hot chocolate."

When she's not teaching, Ms. Davis likes watching The Big Bang Theory and admiring the Colorado night sky.

To thank Ms. Davis for working hard to serve local students in our community, we're honoring her with five amazing prizes.
