I'm floored about this because when I think of Colorado, it's not the first thing that comes to mind. When I think of some of the best cookouts I've ever hosted or been to, they've included various meats.

Steaks, ribs, chicken, pork, burgers, brisket, heck even stuffed jalapenos. But corn? C'mon really? That's our most popular grilling item, corn?

Still though, with all of the other things there are to grill, especially here in Colorado where we have one of the biggest meat distributors in the world in our backyard in JBS, how can corn possibly be our favorite grilling item?

With all due respect to Eatthis.com, who conducted the survey on what each state's favorite grilling item was, I'm not sure who they asked, but I'm shocked by the findings.

Whether you agree or disagree with these findings that corn on the cob is Colorado's favorite grilling item, one thing is for sure, I'm excited to get that grill rolling all summer long with various types of meats like the steaks, chicken, pork chops, ribs, and brisket. And yeah, I'll probably end up throwing some ears of corn on there for good measure.

Oh and one more thing I like to put on the grill that is outstanding is eggplant. It's so good.
