Jacob Anthony Chansley is the Arizona man referred to as the 'QAnon Shaman,' who garnered national attention after being photographed inside the U.S. Capitol during the January 6 breach and riot.

Chansley became a widely recognizable figure during the insurrection, seen in red, white and blue face paint while wearing a horned fur hat and no shirt, holding an American flag with a speared tip.

In March, following his arrest, he told 60 Minutes that he regretted going into he U.S. Capitol building 'with every fiber' of his being. Chansley said that he believed that former President Trump had his back, and was disappointed that he did not receive a pardon.

Chansley's mother has spoken to the media, saying that her son wasn't a part of the violence and that he entered the Capitol through doors that were already open. However, it is a violation of federal law to walk onto the Floor of Congress without permission — something Chansley was photographed doing.

Now, he is facing felony charges for breaching the Capitol and is currently at Federal Correctional Institution in Englewood undergoing a competency evaluation. Current inmates at the facility include Eric King, an 'antifacist and anarchist' who threw a Molotov cocktail at an empty federal building, and Jared Fogle, the former Subway spokesperson.
