It's great to see 'our' Colorado Avalanche heading back to Stanley Cup finals; it's been a great season, and we saw some great hockey in the playoffs. When the Avs won that very first Stanley Cup, these were the hottest songs of that week.

Looking back at 2001 and that incredibly good Colorado Avalanche team, it will give you goosebumps. You look at those names and a smile just beams across your face; be warned this list will make you feel old.

Living in Colorado at that time was so much fun, with the Avalanche advancing up and up into the Finals. There was a fervor across the state, it was awesome. There were so many great stories, including Roy Bourque's

Bourque was a superstar with the Boston Bruins for many, many years, but had not won the Stanley Cup. In 2000, the Bruins traded Bourque to the Avalanche. Part of that move, was a favor from the Bruins to Bourque: going to the Avalanche would give him a much better shot at winning that coveted trophy, that he so deserved.
