If you're anything like my family, you're probably already having the argument about whether or not the turkey should be stuffed at Thanksgiving (the answer is not stuffed, people. Not. Stuffed.)

However, some people can't afford to argue about something like that, because they aren't even sure if they'll be able to have a Thanksgiving meal.

In fact, 10,000 local families in Northern Colorado are currently wondering about whether or not they'll be able to enjoy a meal for the holidays.

That's why we've partnered with the Larimer and Weld County food banks for Townsquare Cares: Feeding NoCo, a campaign to get every food sensitive family in Northern Colorado a holiday meal this year.

In order to truly understand the plight of these families, the Townsquare team volunteered at both food banks and spoke to some of their clients.

For this week's episode of "Tuned In to NoCo," I was able to listen to the stories of clients at the Food Bank for Larimer County, and learn just how important the food bank is for our community.

"I'm just kind of down on my luck with money and jobs," said one man who recently lost his job. "When you're factoring in $1,700 for rent or $1,200 for mortgage...$35,000 doesn't get you very far."

It's no surprise that the growing population and high cost of living can make it difficult to get by in Fort Collins, particularly when you are struggling with job loss.

Others found themselves seeking out the food bank after they were struck with high medical bills from unexpected health problems.

"I had a heart attack and I had died for 10 minutes," said one woman. "It's been tough but the food bank has really helped me out in the last year...I'm very thankful to the people that donate and help us out."
