This Weekend: Winter Festival, Empty Bowls Pottery, Wine Flight
Get off your couch, turn off your Netflix, and choose one of these three upcoming events to go to this weekend.
The beautiful mountain town of Estes Park hosts their Winter Festival from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (January 18-19). This fun, snowy event will include beer, wine and food tastings, dancing and a craft fair. You can also indulge in some of Estes Park's best outdoor activities such as sledding, skiing and ice-climbing. Ticket prices range from $5 to $30.
This unique fundraiser will "feed your soul" and teach you how to make your own pottery as well. The Food Bank for Larimer County's annual Empty Bowl Fundraiser is an outstanding cause geared to help feed families in need. The purchase of a single bowl will feed up to 100 hungry families. Tickets are selling for $10 per person, and this ticket secures you a free doughnut, drinks at a discounted cost, a "swag bag" full of discount coupons and hands-on instruction on how to fling your bowl from a professional potter. This event occurs at several different time slots, such as 1-2 p.m., 2-3 p.m. and 3-4 p.m. on Saturday, January 18.
Sweet Heart winery presents the Wine-Bow event. Happening at 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, this adorable, lovers winery invites you to come sample 10 different Sweet Heart original wines to find your favorite. Tickets are $30 per person. Those who love wine should also check out Townsquare Media's Fort Collins Wine Time event coming up on Valentine's weekend.
