Coloradans can strut around proudly, as Gitanjali Rao, a 15-year-old scientist, has been named the very first 'Kid of the Year.'

Time Magazine has released its 'Person of the Year' issue for years; since 1928, actually. With this year's, they'll also be releasing its inaugural 'Kid of the Year' issue, with Gitanjali Rao, from Denver, on the cover.

According to 9News, Gitanjali is a scientist/inventor, who (among many things) has developed an antibullying Google Chrome extension that detects bullying early and developed technology to detect lead in drinking water, much faster than any previous techniques.

Gitanjali was picked out of 5,000 other kids to be named the '2020 Kid of the Year.'

Imagine how far she'll go in her life after this.
