Old Town Fort Collins is officially lit, but Timnath is not far behind.

The town will host a free holiday lighting festival for the community in Old Town Timnath on Friday, December 6 from 5-7 p.m.

Located on Main Street, the event will kick off with Mayor Jill Grossman-Belisle and Santa Claus lighting up the entire street.

The public will also be able to enjoy carriage rides, ornament decorating, a hot soup bar, warm beverages, and more. Photo opportunities with Santa Claus will also be available.

Performances from Bethke Elementary, Living Rock Church, Preston Middle School, Timnath Elementary, and NoCo Theatrix Children's Theater will be ongoing throughout the night to spread holiday cheer.

"It's great to know that the Holiday Lighting Festival has become a wonderful tradition for our community," said Mayor Grossman-Belisle. "This special event is not only open to Timnath residents, but the whole Northern Colorado community."

Local stores will stay open for those who are on the lookout for holiday gifts.

While the festival itself is free, attendees will have the option to donate to the Santa Cops of Larimer County, a local non-profit working to deliver gifts to children in need this holiday season.

With events like this one, Northern Colorado is sure to be shining this holiday season.
