To the Guys Who Dumped Me: Thank You, From Shelby

It was a year ago now that I spent my Labor Day weekend crying into a pillow like an idiot because I wasn't even worth breaking up with. Some guys think that if they ignore me, maybe I'll just disappear.

It's one thing to get dropped by someone you're seeing on a casual basis, but I feel so disrespected when I get 'ghosted' by someone I'm actually in a relationship with. It's happened a few times, and every now and then when they want in on a concert or to meet a band or something, they'll reappear (funny how that goes).

But, in hindsight, usually all I can think to say to them is 'thank you.' Really.
