The 2019-2020 school year was unlike any other for Northern Colorado educators.

And Townsquare Media is here to recognize the great work of our teachers adapting to remote learning during the COVID-19 crisis.

We've crowned a different Teacher of the Month all school year. Now those eight winners will face off for Northern Colorado Teacher of the Year.

Last year, Lyn Karnes of Rice Elementary won the inaugural Teacher of the Year contest for 2018-19.

The winner with the most votes of the 2019-2020 school year takes home a $500 check for their school provided by University of Northern Colorado and UNC Extended Campus. The Teacher Tuesday winner also takes home a collection prizes, including a Date Night Dinner for two from Windsor Mill Tavern (includes 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, 1 bottle of wine) and a free oil change from Ozzie's Body Shop.

So, now's the time to step up, sound off, and let us know who your favorite teacher is. You can vote once an hour through noon on Tuesday, May 26, so be sure to set that reminder on your smartphone, or wearable, so that you don't miss an opportunity... because the COMPETITION 👏🏼 IS 👏🏼 TIGHT 👏🏼.

Check out this year's nominees, who all shared how they have adapted their classrooms in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:
