They don't know exactly why it broke, but it did. Now unexpected repairs on a water main has closed a lane of traffic on 29th Street.

According to a press release from Loveland Water and Power, on Wednesday, for no apparent reason, a 16" water main broke along 29th Street between Garfield and Lake Drive.

On the bright side, it wasn't a massive sinkhole opening up and swallowing someone's car, but one lane of westbound 29th is closed currently as they make repairs on the line.

Customers affected by the water main break do still have water and shouldn't see any loss of pressure, but it looks like it will take a few days to make repairs.

UPDATE - On Friday (July 27) about 30 customers in the area may see low pressure, discoloration and a brief water outage. They also say that repairs may take them into the middle of next week.
