What Is The Greatest Cover Ever?

I don’t think there is probably a correct answer to this question, but whats it going to hurt to try? Rolling Stone is running a poll this week asking readers what their favorite cover song of all time is.The overwhelming favorite right now seems to be Jimi Hendrix cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower.” But what do you think? How about Joe Cocker doing “With A Little Help From My Friends?” Maybe, Sinead O’Connor doing Princes “Nothing Compares 2 U.”

To me the best covers are those that you don’t even realize are covers, and when you find out who the original artist is you are in shock for a day or two!
