Wildfire Southwest of Carter Lake Prompts Mandatory Evacuations
Late Friday afternoon (April 15, 2022) a wildfire in Larimer County, not far from Carter Lake, had smoke billowing into the sky.
Larimer County Office of Emergency Management notified the public that they had evacuated residents living on Dakota Ridge Road and Chimney Hollow Road, in the Blue Mountain Ranch area, which lies southwest of Carter Lake.
This is the Larimer County Sheriff's Office with an emergency message. We are working a wildfire in the Blue Mountain area. Fire officials have issued mandatory evacuations for residents living on Dakota Ridge Road and Chimney Hollow Road. Please evacuate the area immediately.
