The Downtown River District is making some positive changes, including things like maximizing on-street parking and creating a fun, welcoming environment for FoCo residents.

According to a press release from the City of Fort Collins, the Willow Street Improvements Projects kicks off this month and aims to improve public infrastructure.

So what does this mean for FoCo residents? Probably some road closures. The city says in the press release,

"While improvements are taking place between May 20 and this fall, Willow Street will be one way eastbound for traffic. The City will work closely with businesses, residents and the Northside Aztlan Center to ensure there is access available."

In the same release, Project Lead Nichole Hahn ensures that all of the traffic will be for a good cause, and the project will only serve to benefit the community.

Stay tuned for more downtown Fort Collins updates, and thanks to our city leaders for always striving to make Fort Collins a beautiful, welcoming place to live.
