A Major Fall Chill Is Set To Hit Colorado This Week
The first day of fall is on Thursday and it's going to feel like it. After reaching the 90 degree mark for the 66th time this year, we'll have another day of heat on Tuesday where temperatures will once again be between 10 and 15 degrees above normal to make it day number 67.
However, starting Tuesday night into Wednesday, a cold front will be blowing through Colorado and cooling things down significantly, in fact the temperature will drop between 30 and 35 degrees into the low 60's on Wednesday and Thursday.
Not only will the temperatures take a major dip, we will be getting some much needed moisture with showers expected both on Wednesday and Thursday.
After a brief break from the heat a couple of weeks ago, it's been pretty consistently hot but thanks to this cold front, it will certainly look and feel like fall.
After a couple of cool and damp days, some sun and warmer temperatures will creep their way back into the picture. The weekend looks really nice with dry conditions and temperatures in the low to mid 70's for highs for the CSU Rams football game on Saturday at Canvas Stadium.
