Colorado's oldest craft brewery is pretty much quitting the business. Some of Boulder Beer's beers WILL live on, but they won't be made by the iconic brewery.

I'm feeling a little hazed and confused, as we've come to the end of an era. Boulder Beer, which had a beer 'Hazed & Infused,' will be closing up shop on January 18, 2020.

According to Westword, this has been 'brewing' since October of 2019, when Boulder Beer decided to stop bottling and canning their beer and laid off about 20 people.

After that, another brewery out of Denver, Sleeping Giant, said they'd take on the bottling and canning of most of Boulder Beer's signature beers while Boulder Beer's pub at the original brewery would remain open.

Now, Boulder Beer's owners have apparently decided to sell that building and shut down operations altogether, stating that the building is just too big for what they're doing now.

You'll still see Buffalo Gold, Hazed Hoppy Session Ale, Shake Chocolate Porter and Mojo IPA on shelves on tap in some locations (like at their DIA location,) but really, they're done.

But, they did say that they may open a NEW pub in the future; so, let's just say they're done — for now.
