A Colorado Mountain Lion has killed two house cats and attacked a dog this week according to Colorado Parks & Wildlife.

The mountain lion hails from the Upper Bear Creek-Witter Gulch area of Evergreen.

CPW urge pet owners to bring their pets in at night and used the incident to remind pet owners that "roaming pets are easy prey and can attract lions."

Lion interaction with humans has increased within recent years with more people moving into and using hiking/running trails in areas where mountain lions live. An increase in deer populations and density has also offered up more mountain lion prey.
