Let’s Meet The Puppies From Colorado In This Year’s Puppy Bowl
The NFL playoffs get underway this weekend as "Wild Card Weekend" will be in full effect. 16 out of 32 teams are left to compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy given to the winner of Super Bowl 56 on Feb. 13.
While millions of people watch the Super Bowl, whether it be for the actual game or just the commercials, many will be fired up and ready to watch something else entirely that has nothing to do with football. Okay, maybe it has a little.
That "something else" is the Puppy Bowl, which airs on Animal Planet on Super Bowl Sunday. The show debuted back in 2005 and has been a big hit ever since. I mean, who doesn't want to see adorable puppies running around on a little puppy-sized football field frolicking all over the place?
How cute is that?
In addition to the cuteness, the whole point of the Puppy Bowl is to raise awareness about adopting pets from shelters and rescuing abandoned animals.
The puppies featured in Puppy Bowls are all from shelters from around the country and this year, we have some local Colorado representation in the big game.
A total of 100 puppies from 67 shelters and rescues in 33 states will take part in this year's Puppy Bowl XVIII.Lifeline Puppy Rescue
So whether you have any interest in the outcome of the Super Bowl or not, make sure you show some love for our Colorado pups that will be laying it on the line on the puppy gridiron this year for the Puppy Bowl.
