Longtime Corner Restaurant Set to Close in Downtown Loveland
It’s been in Downtown for a very long time, serving what could be listed as ‘Loveland’s Most Unique Sandwich’, along with malts and dogs. It’ll be sad to see it close.
Carl's Canteen
Downtown Loveland is set to lose another restaurant, as Carl’s Canteen is closing. They’ve been at the corner of Lincoln and 4th Street for a long time, serving up the Iowa classic- ‘Maid-Rite’, (loose meat) burgers, along with dogs, malts and other American food.
The restaurant was owned and operated by Mary Jane Aguilar, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 75. The family has been running the business since then, but the signs in the windows indicate that they will be shuttering the restaurant.
