Twin Silo Park, at the intersection of Ziegler and Kechter roads, opened to the public this week. My wife and I visited the city of Fort Collins newest park on Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Dozens and dozens of families were there to enjoy the new 54-acre facility, just south of Fossil Ridge High School.

The park has an agricultural theme. It includes a community garden, an orchard with fruit trees, and trestles for growing hops.

The playground is anchored by two former grain silos that are set near a play area designed to look like a barn. The playground includes a zip line and tons of slides, swings, and very unique pieces of playground equipment that I couldn't quite identify. Twin Silo Park also includes Pickle Ball courts, a dog park, softball and baseball fields, a BMX track, and a giant grass field for soccer and other activities.

My lovely wife, Jenny, took some wonderful pictures of Fort Collins newest park.
