Weld County Surpasses 15,000 COVID-19 Cases, Remains High Risk
Weld County health officials recorded an additional 2,113 COVID-19 cases this week, bringing the county's cumulative total of COVID-19 cases since March to 15,095.
According to latest COVID-19 data via the Weld County Department of Health and Environment website, the county’s two-week average positive test rate currently stands at 15.05%, which is down from 15.95% the week prior.
In Greeley, that rate is 14.06%. North Weld County has the highest positive test rate in the county, which stands at 17.69%.
On Wednesday (Dec. 2), 341 patients were being treated with COVID-19 at Weld County's regional hospitals. Among those 12 hospitals, there are currently 187 hospital beds, 48 ICU beds and 55 ventilators available.
The seven-day average of beds occupied by COVID-19 patients is 28.3%, surpassing the previous peak of 19.3% back in April.

Weld County remains a high risk area, with a two-week cumulative incidence rate of 1,164.3 and a two-week average positivity rate of 15.5%.
In December alone, there have been 3 reported COVID-19 related deaths in Weld County; There have been 134 COVID-19 related deaths in the county since the start of the pandemic.
