The National Weather Service is warning Northern Coloradans to expect slippery road conditions Monday (Nov. 11) morning.

A winter weather advisory is in place for the region from midnight to 9 a.m. on Monday morning.

Mixed precipitation of freezing drizzle and light snow is expected. The forecast predicts snowfall between 1-3 inches and a light glaze of ice accumulation. Wind gusts could reach as high as 35 MPH.

The National Weather Service warns morning commuters to "slow down and use caution while traveling. Allow plenty of extra time for the Monday morning commute."

Monday's high in Northern Colorado is around 30 degrees.

Per usual, the snow is unlikely to stay long. Temperatures are expected to warm up into the 50's and 60's during the rest of the work week.
